Friday is the night for zero-proof cocktails on Congress Avenue. On other nights, SquareRut serves kava and coffee in Oak Hill until 10 p.m., and Epoch’s North Loop café is open past midnight most of the week.

Before you go

For a Friday downtown, choose Sans Bar if an alcohol-free room matters to your group. For a Monday after midnight, check the clock before setting out for Epoch. Its six-hour break starts as Monday turns into Tuesday.
